Membership Overview

1.1 AI-OSHE as a registered and accredited institute and in terms of its constitution is committed to the following principles.

1.1.1. Foster collaboration between industries, government agencies, and academic institutions in the interest of Safety, Health and Environment (SHE).
1.1.2. Ensuring best safety standard practices by practitioners.
1.1.3. Continuously developing, advancing and improving industry safety standards.
1.1.4. Enhancing career development and,
1.1.5. Improving the level of competency of practitioners.
1.1.6. Increase public confidence in SHEQ professionals.

1.2. The institute commits itself to ensure the above by providing a platform for voluntary association among aspiring, interested stakeholders, corporates and practicing practitioners and providing members with quality information, training and keeping the membership updated on the latest developments in the Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental Management field.

1.3. OBJECTIVES OF THE AIOSHE MEMBERSHIP PROGRAMME

1.3.1. The primary objectives of the AIOSHE Membership programme will include:

1.3.1.1. Establishing and maintaining industry standards for SHEQ practices.
1.3.1.2. Providing certification and accreditation for SHEQ professionals.
1.3.1.3. Offering training and continuous professional development (CPD).
1.3.1.4. Advocating for SHEQ policies and regulations at national and continental level.
1.3.1.5. Encouraging research and innovation in SHEQ management.
1.3.1.6. Creating a network for knowledge sharing and mentorship among SHEQ practitioners in Africa.

AIOSHE stands committed to the prevention and reduction of occupational incidents in the continent of Africa. We do this by engaging every employer, employees, authorities and all stakeholders involved like city councils, national employment councils, professional bodies and associations and when we engage our message is one.
